About Me
What began as a passing interest into the history of my own house, soon developed into an interest of my street and eventually the whole village.
This web-site project has progressed sporadically (with the demands of family, work and modern day living interspersed!) since September 2002. It is only in the last few months that I've had the time, money and inclination to pull it all together and get it onto the web for people to utilise.
I am not a local historian or genealogist, though I do have an interest in history and my own family tree. This project was more of a technical challenge, as I am an enthusiastic software developer, having been made redundant from my job as an IT Consultant in August 2003.
By profession, I am a Pharmacist, and have practiced in hospital and community pharmacies since August 1988. However, in 1999 I obtained a Masters degree in Computing and then worked for a software house and IT consultancy until my aforementioned redundancy. Currently, I am practicing as a self-employed locum pharmacist in community pharmacies within a 20 mile radius of Burley in Wharfedale.
